WARRANTY
Five-Year Workmanship Warranty. Plain English.
Every Sacramento Bath install is warrantied against installation defects for five full years. Manufacturer warranties pass through directly to you. Here's what's covered, what's not, and how to file a claim.
WHAT'S COVERED
Five-year workmanship warranty
Installation defects
Tile installation issues (debonding, grout cracking from prep failure), waterproofing failure, glass hardware failures attributable to install, cabinet alignment.
Plumbing rough-in workmanship
Joints we made, valves we set, drain runs we configured. If a leak develops attributable to our install, we fix it and any resulting damage at our cost.
Electrical rough-in workmanship
Connections our team made, GFCI installations, lighting circuits. Manufacturer defects pass through to manufacturer warranty.
Finish installation
Caulk and silicone first-year replacement (these are wear items but the first-year replacement is on us).
Permit-cleared inspections
If a hidden installation defect is discovered after final inspection, we return and remediate. Period.
Transferable to next homeowner
Our warranty transfers to a subsequent homeowner one time within the 5-year window. Useful for resale.
Manufacturer warranties — pass-through
Every fixture, valve, faucet, vanity, and tile we install carries the manufacturer's warranty. Those warranties pass through directly to you — they don't go through us. Typical manufacturer warranties:
- Faucets and valves (Kohler, Delta, Hansgrohe, Brizo) — limited lifetime on the body, typically 5–10 years on the cartridge
- Toilets (Kohler, TOTO, Duravit) — limited lifetime on the porcelain, 1 year on the trim
- Vanity cabinets — typically 5 years from major manufacturers, 1 year from custom builders
- Tile — typically 1 year for manufacturing defects (rarely a real-world issue)
- Glass shower enclosures — 1–10 years depending on hardware brand
- Waterproofing systems (Schluter Kerdi, Wedi) — 10-year limited warranty when installed by a certified installer (we are)
We provide all manufacturer warranty cards and registration links at project handoff so you can register where required.
What's not covered
- Damage from misuse — dropping a heavy object on a glass shelf, stripping a faucet handle, etc.
- Normal wear — caulk and silicone need replacement every 3–5 years regardless of installer. Grout sealant should be renewed annually for natural stone, every 2–3 years for porcelain.
- Hard-water buildup — Sacramento County water is hard. Mineral buildup on chrome and around drains is a normal cleaning task, not a defect.
- Damage from third parties — if another contractor works in your bathroom after our project completes and damages our work, that's outside our scope.
- Acts of nature — floods, fires, earthquakes, falling trees. Your homeowner's insurance handles those.
- Homeowner-supplied materials — if you supplied the material, the warranty on that specific item is yours to manage with the supplier.
